I’m making my way through "Programming Ruby," and it continues to blow my mind.

PHP 4 might seem insultingly under-equipped to a Ruby programmer, or even a Java programmer, in terms of genuinely supporting OO programming. I haven’t really looked at the rundown of its shortcomings, but I think there are big problems with the way PHP 4 handles inheritance, and I’ve been told the list goes on.
